What you can do

Deposit, in detail.

A deposit, your way

Take a fixed amount or a percentage up front. The customer sees a clear breakdown of what's due today and what's left.

Balance on a date you set

Shopify collects the remaining balance automatically on the final-payment date — no invoices to chase.

Per-variant

Apply a deposit to a single variant or a whole product, alongside your pre-order setup.

Native Shopify checkout

The whole split runs through Shopify's secure checkout — nothing bolted on.

No code

Set the deposit and the date; Timesact sets up the Shopify side for you, with nothing to configure.

Setup

Live in four steps.

Here's how you set it up. Prefer a hand? Our team will do it with you on a free call.

Questions

Deposit, answered.

How much can the deposit be?
You decide — a fixed amount or a percentage of the price. The customer sees exactly what's charged today and what's collected later.
When is the balance charged?
On the final-payment date you set. Shopify collects it automatically from the customer, so there's nothing for you to invoice.
Which products can use a deposit?
Any product you've set up for pre-order, backorder or made-to-order — the deposit is a payment option on those flows, per variant.
Does it run through Shopify checkout?
Yes. The deposit and balance are handled inside Shopify's native checkout — the customer never leaves your store's flow.
